World Missions Day: September 23

September 7th, 2007 • Category: Helping Those in Need, Church News

Jesus MCC’s first-ever World Missions Day is coming September 23! We will hear from two special guest speakers about the needs of communities in Sudan and about the New Community Project, an exciting global outreach organization that helps churches partner with communities in need, to offer the love of Christ by meeting practical needs. Our church is considering working with the New Community Project, so you won’t want to miss this special service!

The morning services on September 23 will feature Nan Erbaugh, Associate Pastor, Lower Miami Church of the Brethren in Dayton, Ohio. Nan will talk about her experiences in Sudan and share with us the needs of the Sudanese people. The evening service will feature David Radcliff, Director of the New Community Project, who will share how we as a church can connect to a Sudanese community by becoming a partner in their struggles. We can bring Christ’s presence in their midst by meeting them where they are and helping to meet their needs.

Mr. Radcliff will be dining with us on Sunday evening. You’ll have the opportunity to ask him questions about the New Community Project and how a partnership with Jesus MCC will work.

Invite your friends and come to morning and evening services as we consider what Christ calls us to do in the world!
